There are multiple reasons why the server is in a closed alpha state, listed here are the major ones that led to the decision to make the server a closed alpha.

Updating the server is a lengthy process, taking a significant amount of effort from multiple developers. Please be patient.

It takes on average 2 months for the server to be fully updated and tested with said update, however this can be delayed if there are any major breaking changes.

Bedrock edition works very different than Java Edition under the hood, this means just Geyser alone is not enough to make LEM playable on bedrock.

“Clients” in the sense of Lunar Client, Badlion Client, Feather client, etc are not recommended for LEM. They very often break LEM’s UI features and in some cases make the game near unplayable (Lunar Client for example), due to all of this it is highly suggested to use one of the options listed below instead.

Lunar Client has a tendency to break on LEM a lot. It has reached a point where the game is unplayable, and here we have a list of everything it breaks.
